What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the etrailer four bike rack on our 2020 Chevrolet Suburban. So this is gonna be a hang style bike rack. The bike is held by the frame right here. So what we like to say is you know, it's fine but it's a little on the road bike, mountain bikes, kids, and alternative frame bikes might need an adapter to get it to fit evenly on here, and you know those frames are a little weird so, it might sit uneven on here but you can put an adapter on there, it'll be just fine. Definitely not for carbon fiber bikes, they have that more delicate frame, so you don't wanna scratch or dent anything on one of those, so I wouldn't recommend it for that. more

One I would like to point out that makes this platform rack particularly unique, is that while we have it as a four bike rack currently, there's a bolt on this side of the rack that we can take off and pull off half of the addition of it, making it a two bike rack. For now, we'll just leave it in place.We'll work from the outside in, if we look at these cradles, while they cannot pivot back and forth, they can be slid across the rack to adjust to any type of length your bike might need. You simply loosen this knob, now you can slide it back and forth to suit whatever bike you want to put on, and now you tighten it back. more

Pro Series Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Suburban- Video

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban we're test fitting the Pro Series Q-Slot Platform-Style 2 bike and 4 bike rack. A part number for that is PS63138. The first thing we're going to do is check out our bike here and how it's strapped down to our bike rack. We've got these hook and loop straps here holding down the front and back tire. Now you might be a little wary about these straps, but from reading reviews I've learned that these straps are actually very well-made and so they secure your bike to that rack very well. Go ahead and undo these. Even though they aren't going to damage your bike much you'd still want to make sure that they're between the spokes there. Then we'll come around here. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban we are test fitting the Kuat Transfer 3 platform style bike rack designed for inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches. The part number for that is TS03G. We do already have our bike on the rack. We're going to go ahead and show you some features of that, and also how we secure the bike down. To release our bike, we're just going to undo these knobs here. With this style rack, it's great because you can attach trailers to that ball mount in the back here, so you're not just limited to trailing one rack or one trailer behind your vehicle. Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, we're test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram hanging and tilting style 4-bike rack. This bike rack is designed to work with inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches and the part number for that is SR26248. We want to show you the main feature of this bike rack first. A lot of the hanging style bike racks won't allow you to tilt your bike rack away from your vehicle with a bike on here, but ours does. So we're just gonna pull this black t-pin here on the side. And with that out, we'll go ahead and just tilt our bike away from the vehicle. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Suburban- Video

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, we are test fitting the Thule Roadway Tilting and Hanging Style 2 Bike Rack designed to work with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. The part number for that is TH912XTR. Now we do already have our bike on the rack. I want to show you how we strap down the bike and some features of the rack itself. We've got two cradles holding this bike down and three straps, two on the frame here, and then one is your anti-sway strap in the back. That's going to keep that bike from swinging back and forth and possibly hitting and damaging your vehicle. The first thing we'll do is take off the straps. more
